Using music and developmentally appropriate interventions, this program helps each individual develop independence and greater functioning.

 

 

New Music Therapy summer social groups are starting the first week of June!

 

Musical Bridges summer social skills groups that address skills such as social greetings, expressing emotions, awareness of body proximity, maintaining conversations, initiating and participating in a group setting, body language, turn taking, negotiating, and teamwork.  The groups are divided into two consecutive 6-week sessions, beginning the first week of June 2011. You may enroll for both sessions or choose just one.  Each session is 1-hour and will include at least 1 peer mentor for every 3 participants.  You will take home lyric sheets and mp3s of songs used in each session to aid in the generalization of concepts taught.
