Melissa Humphries- President
Melissa Humphries is a board-certified Music Therapist and the founder of Musical Bridges Inc. She has been practicing since 2005 and has grown the her for-profit to a team of four, full time employees.
Melissa is passionate about expanding access of music therapy to all who need it, removing any financial barrier. Full bio under team.
Wesley Williams- Vice President
Wesley Williams is a strategic sales and marketing leader with over 15 years of experience in driving business growth and transformation across various industries. As the Vice President of Sales at Social Link, he has led top-performing teams, developed innovative marketing strategies, and cultivated strong client relationships to achieve significant revenue growth.
Wesley has a strong passion for community service, demonstrated by his roles as President of the Chapman Sports Complex and President of Jefferson County Little League, where he successfully grew the league to the largest in Southern Illinois, even during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, he is currently on the Board of Directors for BEST in Brentwood, TN.
With a background in leadership, relationship-building, and nonprofit involvement, Wesley is eager to contribute his expertise and passion to the mission of Musical Bridges.
Faith Zishiri- Secretary
Faith Zishiri originates from Zimbabwe, where she holds a degree in Personnel Management. She worked as a clerk in Civil Service for many years until resigning and opening her own business as a poultry and piggery producer. She worked direct to consumers, supplying retail outlets and business centers. In 2016 she sold the business and relocated to the US. She is currently the sole caregiver of her adult child with special needs, and serves a dual role on the board as secretary and parent representative.
Shawn Rachal- Treasurer
Shawn Rachal has been a practicing CPA since 2013 in public accounting, both for himself and with a CPA firm in Franklin, Tennessee.
He graduated from LSU in 1977 and was an owner in his father’s brick company in Louisiana prior to moving to Tennessee in 2007.
He is excited to support Musical Bridges and offer his expertise.
Raeya Chourasia- Junior Board
Raeya Chourasia is a dedicated and ambitious student at Brentwood High School. She has been swimming competitively for 13 years and is passionate about the sport and the sense of community it fosters. Raeya is actively involved in her school’s Student Council and has served as a representative for five years, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to improving student life.
She is also a member of the Tennessee Student Equity Board, where she contributes as the Director of Technology, working to promote fairness and accessibility across the state. In addition to swimming, Raeya has been involved in track for the past four years, showcasing her athleticism and perseverance.
Raeya's dedication extends beyond sports and academics—she is passionate about giving back to her community. She tutors students in need. Raeya is also an active participant in Women in STEM, Science Olympiad, and DECA, highlighting her drive to create a meaningful impact in fields she is passionate about.
With a strong commitment to leadership, service, and personal growth, Raeya is excited to contribute her skills and energy to the mission of Musical Bridges.
