Privacy Policy

Musical Bridges ("Musical Bridges," "we," "us") provides music therapy, music lessons, and group classes in Middle Tennessee. This policy explains what information we collect through musicalbridges.com and the tools we use alongside it, how we use it, and how to reach us about it.

This policy covers our website and our business communications. It does not cover clinical records created in the course of therapy services, which are handled separately under our clinical confidentiality practices.

1. Information you give us

  • Enrollment and inquiry forms. Hosted by Wufoo. These collect names, contact details, the services you're interested in, and information about the person who will receive services.

  • Intake forms. Hosted by Microsoft Forms and Google Forms. These collect more detailed background relevant to therapy or lessons.

  • Scheduling. Consultation calls are booked through Calendly and some class registrations through Cal.com. These collect your name, email, and appointment details.

  • Scholarship applications. Hosted by Google or Microsoft Forms. Applying requires financial documentation, including a copy of your prior-year IRS Form 1040. We use this only to assess eligibility, we do not share it, and we keep it only as long as needed to administer the scholarship.

  • Volunteer and board interest forms. Hosted by Google or Microsoft Forms.

  • Store orders. Processed through Squarespace Commerce, which collects your name, shipping address, email, and payment details. Card details are handled by the payment processor and are not stored by us.

  • Donations. Processed through Givebutter, which collects your name, contact details, and payment information under its own privacy policy.

  • Text messages. If you give us a mobile number and opt in, we may send appointment and program-related texts. Consent is not a condition of receiving services. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply.

  • Email. Anything you send us directly.

2. Information collected automatically
Our website uses cookies and analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Squarespace's built-in analytics, which record IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring site. We use this to understand how the site is used.

3. Children's information
Many of the people we serve are minors. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13 through this website. Enrollment, intake, and scholarship forms are intended to be completed by a parent or legal guardian, and information about a child is provided by that adult. If you believe a child has submitted information to us directly, contact us and we will delete it.

4. How we use information
To respond to inquiries; to schedule, deliver, and bill for services; to assess scholarship and sliding-scale eligibility; to process store orders and donations; to send newsletters and program updates you have asked for; and to improve our website and programs.

5. What we don't do
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share it only with the service providers named above, to the extent they need it to provide their service to us, or where required by law.

6. How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and enrollment information while you are an active client and for a reasonable period afterward. Scholarship financial documentation is kept only as long as needed to administer the award and meet our record-keeping obligations.

7. Your choices
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link in any email, reply STOP to text messages, and ask us to correct or delete information we hold about you. Clinical records are subject to separate retention requirements and may not be deletable on request.
