Welcome, Ms. Rachel!

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Rachel to Musical Bridges! Rachel relocated to Nashville from Charlotte, North Carolina, where she had lived her entire life. She is excited to become the newest member of the team and apply her experience and passion for Music Therapy in a new city.

Rachel started singing from an early age through church and school opportunities, including choir and musical theatre, making friends and strengthening her relationship to music. Rachel saw the impact of music therapy while completing her senior project about the field in high school, shadowing local music therapists and exploring up-to-date research on interventions used in pediatric hospital settings. She then attended Queens University of Charlotte, where she obtained her degree in Music Therapy in 2022 before completing her internship in Charleston, South Carolina.

Rachel obtained her Neurologic Music Therapy certification in Spring of 2024, inspired by the profound effect melody and rhythm have across goal areas including neurologic rehabilitation and communication. Rachel has experience leading group and individual sessions in adolescent behavioral health, older adult memory care, pediatric stroke, Autism spectrum, and early intervention.

Outside of music therapy, Rachel loves to play guitar, perform music in the community, attend seasonal events around Nasville, explore thrift markets, and try out a new, local coffee spot.

Rachel is highly anticipating the opportunity to connect with clients and expand her experience as a Neurologic Music Therapist, embracing the meaningful work and music made along the way. Welcome, Rachel!
